040 CN 190 F084301C 040-C-(232)T ASH FORK – FLAGSTAFF HIGHWAY (I-40) (A-1 Mountain Rd to I-17)

The proposed CMAR project is located on Interstate 40 (I-40) between milepost (MP) 190.00 and 195.72 in Coconino County and Coconino National Forest, between A-1 Mountain Road traffic interchange and I-17. The project consists of full removal and replacement of the existing Riordan ATSFRR OP EB (Str. No. 00332) and Riordan ATSFRR OP WB (Str. No. 00897) bridges along I-40 over the BNSF railroad tracks and the W. Naval Observatory Road, reconstruction of EB and WB I-40 vertically and horizontally as necessary to tie into the new OP structures while maintaining traffic on I-40 during construction, and reconstruction of A-1 Mountain Rd TI and West Flagstaff TI ramps and gores as necessary to accommodate the I-40 bridge reconstruction. The project also consists of pavement rehabilitation between A-1 Mountain and I-17 by milling the existing asphaltic concrete of roadway mainline and shoulders and replacing with new asphaltic concrete and stone matrix asphaltic concrete.
