The proposed project is located in Cochise County at the San Simon Port of Entry (POE) on Interstate 10 (I-10) eastbound (EB), just west of the New Mexico border between mileposts 383.07 to 383.40. The proposed work consists of constructing a new inspection building, new static scale, new Portland cement concrete pavement, parking areas a new remote access-controlled gate, a new water well and a new hazmat containment facility. Additional work includes reconstructing sewer, CCTV security systems, water and roadway lighting systems, constructing drainage features, new pavement markings, new well, signing, and other miscellaneous work.
