The proposed project is located within Maricopa and Pinal Counties on SR 24 and SR 202L. The project limits extend east and north from Recker Road to Guadalupe Road along SR 202L and east from SR 202L to Ironwood Drive along SR 24, between SR 202L MP 31.60 to MP 37.59 and SR 24 MP 0.00 to MP 5.64, within the City of Mesa, Town of Gilbert, Town of Queen Creek, Maricopa County, and Pinal County. The work consists of widening SR 24 and SR 202L to add general purpose lanes, constructing new system interchange ramp connections between SR 202L and SR 24, and reconstructing Ironwood Drive to a diverging diamond interchange. The work includes removing existing pavement and roadway edge treatments on SR 202L and SR 24 required to construct new roadway widening. Roadway work includes excavation, borrow material, embankment, concrete and asphaltic concrete paving, new concrete bridges, concrete bridge widening, retaining walls, sound walls, storm drain, catch basins, landscaping, erosion control, AC friction course removal, concrete pavement diamond griding, AC milling, pavement markings, signing, traffic signals, lighting, FMS, and other related work.
